The Importance of the Study: The importance of the current study lies in: 1- The field it addresses, as it deals with innovative thinking and the impact of participation in producing a puppet show for kindergarten children. Developing innovative thinking in kindergarten children is like laying the foundations for developing innovative thinking in adults; today's innovative child is tomorrow's innovator. Furthermore, puppet theater is not clearly used in Egyptian kindergartens, despite representing an important aspect of a child's life and a significant attraction for them with its puppets and dramatic characteristics that suit the developmental stage of kindergarten children. The element of child participation in theatrical activity situations, clearly and effectively, helps unleash the child's innovative abilities on one hand, and meets the child's desire to interact with others on the other. 2- The importance of the study also lies in its focus on the kindergarten stage as a sample for study, given the critical nature of this stage and its profound impact—negative or positive—on the formation of personality traits in subsequent age stages. 3- The study contributes to developing the child's aesthetic and critical sense through their responsibility in preparing and performing the puppet show text and presentation in all its stages. 4- The importance of the study is also due to the scarcity of research and studies conducted in this field in the Arab environment. To the researcher's knowledge, there is no Arab study that has addressed the effectiveness of puppet theater and participation in it for developing innovative thinking in kindergarten children—which was one of the researcher's motivations for this study. 5- The current study also has theoretical importance, as it is expected to shed light on the field of child creativity in general, and kindergarten children in particular, and on puppet theater in general, and puppet theater in particular, and the relationship between child creativity and puppet theater, and the possibility, and even the importance, of child participation in puppet theater and its impact on developing their innovative thinking. 6- On an applied level, the current study is expected to contribute to designing a puppet theater program in which children participate to develop their innovative thinking. This will help guide kindergarten teachers on how to employ and utilize this distinctive form of children's theater, in accordance with the characteristics of kindergarten-aged children, and thus help maintain the continuous rise of the child's innovative thinking.
