The explanation of which is long, and all of that in the presence of the near angels and the noble companions. And peace be upon him. I did not expect this matter for myself, nor did I ask God for it. Rather, I asked Him to make me a helper to those who carry it out. So God willed what He willed, and decreed it. He burdened me with the responsibility of this matter, and I clung to God and relied on Him. I informed the government that I was the awaited Mahdi. They had previously shown me kindness, and I left no stone unturned in clarifying this matter. I am awaiting the test. And God is the One, the All-Powerful. So they did nothing but turn a deaf ear to what I told them, and turn away from accepting it. They rushed me with hostility without deliberation or confirmation in this religious matter that I brought them from the best of creation. So God supported me against them, as He promised me. And thus your armies came to me, one group after another, and I gave them warnings, and they did not heed them. But God supported me and aided me as He promised me, and cut off your affairs until your strength failed and your matter became desperate. So I surrendered my affair to the enemies of God, the English, and allowed them their spoils, their wealth, and their possessions. The English, in their arrogance and pride, did not worship God. So when Satan tempted them, they were deceived by Gordon in Khartoum, and he was saved from his family. And I knew that repeating warnings would not benefit them. And the verse became true for them, "It is the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them." [Quran 36:6]. So God opened it and destroyed all who were in it. And I burned their great bodies before their eyes. Like those before them, to show the truth and to magnify the punishment. And His saying was true for them: "Then I warned them, and they turned away." [Quran 17:41]. So they turned away. Until when they rejoiced in what they were given, We seized them suddenly. So I sent a group of Ansar to them, and God cast terror into their hearts. So they fled after We destroyed those We destroyed among them and scattered their gathering. And all of this is not hidden.
