Sidi al-Siddiq ibn Idris was forced to leave Mecca at this time for Asir.

We do not have details of these reasons, and it is said that when the authorities in Mecca intensified their control, which at that time was under the Egyptian military command, there were points of contention between him and the scholars of Mecca, which made them consider him an innovator. However, we believe that his departure to Dima indicated good relations with him and the Wahhabis. But we do not know the nature of this relationship. We do not know exactly when he left Mecca, and we estimate it was three years before his death. Some historians have claimed that al-Siddiq ibn al-Sunusi and al-Mubarrighani traveled with him, but we believe he traveled alone. As for ibn al-Sunusi, he "followed his teacher to Dima and stayed with him there until his death." Ibn Idris had left his son, before his travels, in the care of ibn al-Sunusi. When ibn Idris fell ill, ibn al-Sunusi traveled with the boy to visit him.

His Second Wife During his first stay in the Hijaz, ibn al-Sunusi married his second wife, Mrs. Khadija al-Harshiyya. His teacher, ibn Idris, arranged his marriage, who had seen him after his divorce from his first wife. Mrs. Khadija was known for her piety and devotion. She played her role towards her husband by providing him with comfort and accompanying him on his travels, and she endured his difficult lifestyle, characterized by constant movement and hard work. She died in Al-Jaghbub about thirty years after the death of ibn al-Sunusi, approximately 1950.
