The decisive word concerning the Imam Al-Mahdi affair.

Allah Almighty said: "And We showed them Our signs, and they would not believe." (Al-Qahf: 98).

Does it seem strange to ask? Why did the Yemenis not believe and the Yemenis not accept the news of the coming of the Mahdi?! Why did the Mahdi fall in Yemen?!

No, the Arab scholars were removed from the people of the age! But the complete scholars, and the wise ones, their share was the most abundant, and the greatest and most severe fell upon Yemen! And the contempt and insults towards Yemen were such that they became a proverb. This is what was said: (Abu Yazid!).

And "This is what Allah and His Messenger promised, and Allah and His Messenger spoke the truth." (Al-Ahzab: 22). The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Al-Azd are the lions of the earth; people want to bring them down, and Abu Iz is unwilling to raise them, and he will put the reins of the people on them; he says: 'Oh, I wish I were an Azdi, oh I wish my mother were Azdi.'" (Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi).

The first part of the hadith is: "People want to bring them down!"

And from its end: "And Abu Iz is unwilling to raise them, and he will put the reins of the people on them; he says: 'Oh, I wish I were an Azdi, oh I wish my mother were Azdi.'"

And the second narration that supports our understanding of the first narration: Al-Layth said: "The Mahdi will come, and he will show his justice like a tree, then after him from his household will come one who is just, then after him from him will come one who is guided and leads, until it reaches from him to Yemen, then he will return to it, and he will fight them - or they will fight him - and a banner will be raised over them from Quraish, called Al-Mahdi. And some of the scholars said: He is from Yemen; the war will be at his hands, and the truth will be with him." (Narrated by Nu'aym bin Hammad).
