After this, the narrative of the events of the era is recounted, and it is mentioned that the Mahdi emerged from Mecca or Medina. This is because the scholars describe the Mahdi with the attributes of piety and righteousness, as he has a relationship with God that is suitable for his mission. For example, it is said that in the desert, lions appear, and in battle, lions or men appear, and in the desert, a Bedouin appears in Ramadan. And so on for all the agreed-upon attributes.

Ibn Taymiyyah said, when discussing the verse: "Say, 'My Lord knows best your number, [O people of the cave]. None knows them but a few. So do not argue about them except with an outward argument and do not ask about them from anyone among them.'" (Al-Kahf: 22). He said: "This noble verse has been interpreted in relation to the etiquette of this matter and the interpretation of what is similar to it. For God, may He be exalted, mentioned three opinions, and agreed with the first two and remained silent about the third, which indicates its correctness. If it were incorrect, He would have rejected it as we have rejected it. Then He guided that knowing their number is not pleasing to his Lord, so one says, 'My Lord knows best their number.' For He does not mention this except to a strong person among people, so God is more knowledgeable about him. Therefore, He said: 'Except what is apparent.' That is, do not exert yourself in what is not pleasing to your Lord, and do not seek it from them."

And if the Sudanese travel to the lands of the Abyssinians and their geographical location, and if they travel to them, it is said that the Mahdi is a sign of the reversal of the era, upside down.

The American President, Dwight Eisenhower, said in his memoirs: "The Middle East and the Arab Abyssinians are a key in the hands of those who travel to the lands of the era."
