When the pages of the French text were provided with corresponding page numbers in the Arabic text, it became very easy to identify the places where these flags appeared in both the Egyptian and French texts alike.

Judah states in his introduction that he had intended to include in the French text tables of the genealogies of the rulers, with dates of their accession to power and the end of their reigns, whether by death, deposition, or otherwise, as well as lists of Pashas, and some details about the Sudanese officials mentioned in the history of Sudan. But it seemed to him better to wait until he finished verifying and translating "Tadhkirat al-Nisyan" (Remembrance of Forgetfulness), which complements the history of Sudan, especially since "Tadhkirat al-Nisyan" was not much delayed in its publication, as it was published in 1928, i.e., three years after the publication of the history of Sudan. "Tadhkirat al-Nisyan" is indeed equipped with these lists. The history of Sudan begins with paragraphs provided by the French text under the title "The Praise."

And on the same page, the beginning of other paragraphs appeared in French under the title "Introduction."

"How much they used to mention in their gatherings, the companions. Our predecessors and the righteous, may God have mercy on them and have mercy on them, then mentioned the sheikhs of their lands, their kings, their biographies, their battles, their descendants, their mothers, and their fathers... until God Almighty favored them with that. And the second part, those among them who took care of that."
