Second: The History of Religious Education in Al-Hamidiya:

Al-Khalawi: He came to Talgosi, knowledgeable in the sciences of the Qur'an, and studied there Umm al-Barahin, Arabic sciences, principles of jurisprudence, and Sufism. He used to offer sincere advice to rulers and kings, and he was not afraid of anyone in his devotion to God. He is mentioned as having a special remembrance for the recitation of the Qur'an after every fifth prayer on Thursday night, and he forbade its continuation. He was generous, and students traveled to him from many regions. He was a great scholar and authored many books. Among his works are (His Great Explanation of Umm al-Barahin), titled: (Tuhfat al-Hāndirīn), and his book: (Tuhfat al-Tālibīn) (Matn and Sharh). Among the famous scholars of Al-Shashiya who founded Al-Khalawi and opened centers of knowledge there were Ibrahim Al-Bulad bin Jabir bin Salim bin Salim bin Rabah bin Ghanim Allah, the descendant of Al-Dubayhi, the grandfather of Al-Bawarah, and Khalura Al-Faki, and Abu Ibrahim in Turkish. He founded the Al-Shashiya Al-Tābi' al-'Ashar Khalawi, and the Khalawi of Sheikh Muhammad Ali Al-Jubayhi Al-Badiri Al-Dimashqi in Al-Bursa in the early part of this century.

Most of the Khalawi that were established and founded in the Al-Hamidab region perhaps date their establishment to the end of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the twentieth century, except for the Khalwat Al-Fuqaha in Halat Al-Fuqara in Al-Hamidab. Its founder is Habib bin Idris bin Habib Al-Suri. His name was mentioned in one of the documents of Al-Tasfif family preserved by them. His death was in the village of Turi, as indicated by this document. He was, it seems, a renowned scholar, as the document is dated to the year of his death. This document mentioned him as Al-Faqih Habib bin Idris Al-Suri, and perhaps the date of this death was in the tenth century Hijri, which is approximately four hundred years ago.
