Then Hamad Amina went to the Al-Awali, as was their custom, to spend the season there for the known period, until the period ended and he returned to the coast. We wrote to him what happened in the story of the commander with Sijrn, and the second of the affairs of Jam, at that time. The Makakou kingdom was in a state of war. Then he asked that the commander be intercepted on the road before he reached his destination, and that the meeting be behind him. He was afraid of the enmity between him and Hajj, who was his cousin, and he did not want discord between them. So the messenger arrived, and I went with him to the judge, and he informed him of the message. He said, "In the name of God, and with the blessing of God, but after the commander's permission."
