And Muhammad Hamad Al-Jaddi. The third class: These are the men he met in Kordofan and they belong to the Shayqiyya regions. They accompanied him on his journeys and stayed with him for a time in his village of Al-Siniyya before his return to Mecca. Among these were Muhammad bin Malik, known as Wad Malik, and Muhammad bin Abdul Halim, known as Al-Naqib, a Sufi title given to him by his sheikh. The Mirghani ordered them to return to their regions in Korty and Qunti. The fourth class: This includes individuals who traveled to Suakin from the Shayqiyya lands to meet Sayyid Muhammad Uthman Al-Mirghani and took the road to him. Among these was Muhammad Ali Al-Darwish, who is from the Al-Zuma region north of Karima. Al-Mirghani appointed him as his representative and then ordered him to return to his region. Al-Mirghani departed for Al-Dabba in a large caravan led by one of his successors, Khalifa Muhammad Salih Shadul. The caravan reached Kordofan in Shawwal 1122 AH/September 1807 AD. Al-Mirghani settled there for over three years. During his stay, he visited Bahr. In Bahr, he married Ruqayya bint Jallab, the daughter of one of his followers, from the Hawara tribe, from a well-known house called Dithi. From Ruqayya, his son Muhammad Al-Hasan was born. He was able to gather around him two hundred men. Among these were Hammad Al-Beiti and Al-Qadi Arabi, whom he appointed as a successor of successors. Al-Mirghani mentioned him in several of his writings. Also among them were Sayyid Ismail Al-Wali and Ibrahim Al-Barqawi, and Muhammad Badi, who later founded the Isma'iliyya Tariqa. Sayyid Muhammad Uthman and his disciples were subjected to harassment by Al-Maqdum Muslim, the ruler of Kordofan, who was under the Sultan of Darfur. Al-Mirghani prophesied and threatened him with the demise of his rule at the hands of the Egyptian invaders. Muhammad Uthman, the sons of Ibrahim Taj Al-Sir and Ahmad, during this period, were directed by Al-Mirghani and buried in Kordofan. He went to Sennar. A number of people in that land followed his teachings, the most prominent of whom was Sheikh Ahmad bin Issa. Muhammad Uthman faced something like an examination there. One of the well-known scholars of that region wanted to debate him. Ali Salih Karrar mentioned Sheikh Muhammad Ibrahim Khadramti Al-Badiri Al-Dahmashiyyin among this class. This, it seems, is incorrect, as Sheikh Muhammad Ibrahim did not take from Sayyid Muhammad Uthman Al-Khatim, but rather from Sayyid Muhammad Uthman Al-Hasan. It seems that Sheikh Ibrahim, the father of Sheikh Muhammad Ibrahim, took from Al-Khatim. Sheikh Ibrahim was also a memorizer of the Quran and the founder of this family, which came from the region of Abkar, near Al-Dabba, to the region of Al-Arak.
