Al-Mirghani's journeys in the context of spreading his call: Al-Mirghani's active movements contributed to increasing his human capital of loved ones, followers, and their agreement around his ideas. This had the greatest impact on the development and success of his call. Al-Mirghani's first journeys were under the directives of his teacher, Ahmad bin Idris. He ordered him to go to Abyssinia. So he traveled there, reaching the region of (Balga) in the land of Abyssinia. He connected with the people, and a large number of people followed him and took his path. However, the king in charge of this region feared him and worked to harm him. After that, the Sayyid returned and they stayed in the village of Al-Zayniyah for a short period. Muhammad Othman stayed with Sayyid Ahmad for a period of time. His teacher ordered him to travel to Sudan, where they worked to spread the teachings of the Idrisi school there. Muhammad Othman continued his journey, heading through Wadi Halfa, passing through the regions of Sukkot, Mahas, and Kenz, south to the region of Dongola, where people gathered around him and he formed a number of followers in this region. Among the most famous of them was Saleh bin Suwar al-Dhahab, from the Suwar al-Dhahab family, a well-known religious family, heading to Al-Dabba. He found good acceptance there, especially from the people in the Shaigiya region. Among those who followed him was Saleh bin Abdul Rahman bin Muhammad bin Haj al-Duwayhi. Othman formed his followers in the Shaigiya region without visiting it or meeting a part of them personally. Instead, he contented himself with sending them authorizations in their regions and he authorized his followers based on what he heard about them and their conduct. He authorized a number of Quran teachers and righteous people who were known for their piety and extensive knowledge. Dr. Ali Saleh Karrar divides Al-Mirghani's representatives in the Shaigiya regions into four classes: The first class: is the group that came from their regions in the land of Shaigiya to Al-Dabba to meet Muhammad Othman there, where he appointed them as successors in their regions. An example of this group is Saleh bin Abdul Rahman bin Muhammad bin Haj al-Duwayhi. The second class: is the group of sheikhs, scholars, and righteous people who received authorizations for the Khatmiyya order without meeting Al-Mirghani. He relied on their news, their fame, and their personal desire to take the order. Among these are Muhammad Khair bin Muhammad Saleh al-Iraqi from the Turi region, and Muhammad Khair al-Nadif.
