(93) And what is meant by His saying, "strong with the Owner of the Throne," according to his saying and meaning, is strength in the state of being diligent in following God's commands, avoiding His prohibitions, and implementing His rulings. And to fulfill the rights of God Almighty and the rights of His servants, and to combine the Sharia and the reality, and steadfastness, and to be with creation on the ظاهر of the rulings and to be restrained by His secret with God Almighty. And when he was called "Amin" (the trustworthy), may God's prayers and peace be upon him, he was known by it and famous for it before prophethood and after it. Quraish used to call him, may God's prayers and peace be upon him, before his mission, Muhammad Al-Amin, for he was the trustworthy one on earth and trustworthy in heaven. God Almighty named him trustworthy, saying, "Obeyed, then trustworthy." If we say that what is meant by it is Muhammad, peace be upon him, not Gabriel, peace be upon him, then he is God's trustworthy one, His beloved, and His religion. He is trustworthy in heaven and on earth, and in the "Al-Durr Al-Munazzam lil-'Urfi." As for his name, Al-Amin, it is what is conveyed to him by the hearts. The meanings have been explained previously. He said, in what was previously mentioned, "As for his name, Al-Amin, he preserved what was revealed to him and what he was upon, and its delivery. His name in the Jahiliyyah was Al-Amin due to his trustworthiness, his honesty, and his abstinence from betrayal. His words in heaven were as if he was commanded by Ibn al-Arabi. Others said, "Al-Amin," and it was said that its meaning is "strong, trustworthy." The trustworthy one is safe from his Lord's punishment, an indication of what his Lord Almighty promised him in Surat Al-Fath, where He said, "a high station, that God may forgive you your past and future sins." This verse is only for my soul, which suits his status. It was also said that its meaning is "trustworthy in what he brought from his Lord, of commands and prohibitions, and His promises and threats," evidenced by the apparent miracles at his hands, which are equivalent to God Almighty's saying, "My servant is truthful in everything he conveys to Me." So this meaning suits his reality. And as for his name, may God's prayers and peace be upon him, "Mamun," he was named so in the saying of Bujayr bin Zuhayr bin Abi Sulami: "He quenched you with the Mamun, as if it were a rain. So the Mamun quenched you from it and gave you." As for what God Almighty named him, and why he is called Mamun, if God Almighty wills, and Mamun is he who is spared from evil. He means Al-Amin. Indeed, Al-Amin is more eloquent. As for his name, may God's prayers and peace be upon him, "Karim," God Almighty said, "Indeed, he is the Messenger of God, and he is the most noble of the children of Adam." Nobility is being favored over others by God Almighty's decree. Nobility is the gathering of honor and perfect qualities. The first is the nobility of the essence and attributes, which is its glory and elevation. The second is the nobility of actions. And nobility is interpreted as abundant good, the favored, the giver, forgiveness without need or request, and by pardon. And whatever he is named in his regard, may God's prayers and peace be upon him, he is the one singled out for honor, and he is the most noble of the children of Adam absolutely, among the prophets and others, and all existence and considerations. So he is the most noble of them in origin, description, creation, and action. May God's prayers and peace be upon him. As for his name, may God's prayers and peace be upon him, "Mukarram," with a doubled "ra," it means the noble one, for it looks to the one who honored him and made him patient with what God Almighty is. As for his name, may God's prayers and peace be upon him, "Makīn," it means a descending station, closeness, and greatness.
