... and all that is mentioned about His remembrance, may He be exalted, and praying upon him, peace be upon him. And by praying upon him, peace be upon him. It is cut off from...

...all good and all that is initiated with the remembrance of Him, then praying upon him, peace be upon him. And it is recommended to increase the prayer upon him, peace be upon him, and to mention him, peace be upon him, along with the remembrance of Him, the Mighty and Majestic.

He says, may He be exalted: "And We raised your remembrance." It has been narrated by a group from the hadith of Sa'id, may Allah be pleased with him, that the meaning is: "I do not remember unless I am remembered." And for the sake of some of what is incumbent upon the one who prays for him, peace be upon him, he is the intermediary between Allah, the Most High, and His servants, and the intermediary for the blessings that reach them, the greatest of which is guidance to Islam. It is only through His blessings and His guidance.

And the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "He is not thanked by Allah who does not thank people." And to fulfill the duties of servitude by returning to the original principle is the most eloquent and furthest in excellence.

And for this reason, it is preferred to pray upon the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, over all deeds. And what the principle necessitates is that the servant draws near to Allah, the Most High, by engaging in His remembrance. For indeed, there is no way to draw near to Allah, the Most High, except by engaging in His remembrance. However, since engaging in prayer upon the Prophet, peace be upon him, is a form of remembrance of Him, the Most High, engaging in it is more eloquent in fulfilling His command. Therefore, it is a reward for the one who does so.

... and it was narrated from Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "Whoever prays for me once, Allah will pray for him ten times." This is a hadith that is acted upon by means of seeing and the like. And the meaning is that it is incumbent to pray for him, peace be upon him, because he is the master of the masters, and he is the one who leads them.

And it is narrated from Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, in his book "Kifayat al-Mustafeed" and "Hilyat al-'Abid" from Abu Ja'far al-Maqri, that the Prophet, peace be upon him, saw him in a dream and said to him: "O Abu Ja'far, when you pray for me, say: 'O Allah, pray for Muhammad.'" And this is what is acted upon by means of seeing and the like. And the meaning is that it is incumbent to pray for him, peace be upon him, because he is the master of the masters, and he is the one who leads them.
