--- 111 ---A change was introduced into the equivalency examination in 1913 to verify the students' competence, and perhaps another reform of this kind would be necessitated. The Islamic Sharia lessons for students of the School of Law include personal status, transactions, a part of Waqf law, and litigation. However, for equivalency students, personal status alone is sufficient. Nevertheless, the equivalency certificate states that it grants all the rights and privileges enjoyed by holders of the Licence certificate from the graduates of the school, including the right to plead before Sharia courts. Given what may befall litigants in Sharia courts due to the ignorance of lawyers, it is proposed that the equivalency examination include all the Islamic Sharia subjects present in the curriculum of the School of Law, and such a measure is worthy of acceptance.
