And although a person should not attribute things to fate or use it as an excuse before they happen, it is among the proverbs that have spread among travelers that a frequent reliance on fate is a sign of weakness. And among their sayings, if the argument is heated, silence is better than speech, and if the fighting is intense, planning is better than planning. And among them are a group who believe that God Almighty created creation and arranged it in a wondrous order, and then He continues to observe them with an attribute of God Almighty called the attribute of care and preservation, which relates to possibilities in general, meaning that it prevents them from disrupting the order of the kingdom. Some of their beliefs are mentioned elsewhere. For example, the people of Paris have a reddish complexion, and the presence of dark skin among them is rare. We only realize this because they do not usually marry a Black woman to a White man or vice versa, in order to preserve the absence of mixing in color. Rather, they do not even consider that Black people might have beauty at all; rather, blackness is among the characteristics of ugliness for them. Therefore, they have no school of thought in love, and the poet's saying about a Black boy is not pleasing to them: "Your face is like a line drawn by my pen, With words that my hopes tire of. There is in it a meaning of full moons, but The nights have spoiled its dye."

Rather, their state of being always emphasizes the saying of another: "Now, the lover of dark skin is mistaken, And the beautiful ones are White, radiant, and joyful. And I love every fair maiden, Whose face shines and whose teeth are sparkling. And it is enough for me that I follow the truth in love, And there is no doubt that White people are more radiant."

Moreover, it is not pleasing to them because the French used a Black slave girl for cooking and the like, as it was ingrained in their minds that Black people are devoid of necessary cleanliness, while French women are exceptionally beautiful, capable, and pleasant in their interactions and companionship.
