Mulay Al-Hatab wanted to take the firewood from him, and they sought a ruling from the Balak, Mulay Hashim. He ruled against them, wanting to take it from them, so they killed him at that time, and he fled to their lands. It was Friday, the last of Shawwal, in the year one hundred and thirty-one after the thousand. This was the last of their calamities, and the sedition arose [22] because of that between Sadim and the Sharifs and their elders at that time. Mulay Abdullah, the brother of the murdered one, is his elder brother, son of his father, and he is the head of the sedition. And from the time his brother Mulay Hashim was killed, he took his turban from his head and swore by God that he would not put it back on his head until God decided between him and Pasha Mansour, and he wore a simple garment from the time his brother Al-Eid was killed until Sadim Pasha Mansour left. Then he put his turban back on his head. And the aforementioned Mulay Abdullah girded himself, along with the elders of the Sharifs at that time, in the girding, and their sons and their families, and everyone who had caused them harm, they all girded themselves against Commander Mansour and his Eid. As for the Sharifs who were here in those days, they are Mulay Muhammad and Mulay Ali, brother of the aforementioned Mulay Abdullah, and Mulay Muhammad bin Ahmed, father of Mulay Saeed, and Mulay Hamad, and Mulay Al-Rashid, and Mulay Ahmed bin Sharif, and Mulay Al-Arabi, and Mulay Abu Bakr, and God knows best. As for his brother Mulay Abdul Rahman, he was absent on a journey and did not reach him there. Then they girded everyone who was a Sharif of correct lineage and those with them from the slaves, who were their freedmen. Then they came to their brothers in spirit, and their burdens, to equalize them, and Pasha Mansour feared them greatly.
