He was admitted into the order and renewed his ijaza of the caliphate. Sheikh Al-Qurashi was about seventy years old, and he was strong and distinguished. They confirm that he was with the Mahdi in managing the call and that he was the first to embrace what he took. He spoke with his own opinion of the erroneous traditions and that he would pass them on through knowledge and insight. He advised him to travel throughout Sudan to gauge people's thoughts. The Mahdi took his pledge of support and assistance if he proclaimed his call, and he did so and found the hearts of the people of Kordofan filled with hatred for the government, which strengthened his hope for success.

The incident of the boy in Kordofan.

Then the Mahdi returned from Al-Malawin, the residence of his extended teacher Sheikh Al-Qurashi, to his village on the island of Aba. Al-Malawin is the name of several villages on the banks of the Blue Nile, south of Khartoum. The inhabitants of these villages are called (Al-Malawin), and they are Arabs from the tribe of Murabba, who live south of Sinnar and are called (Jubaynah). Sinnar mentions something of the morals and customs of this tribe. He was one of the greatest supporters of the Mahdi, and among them was his caller Muhammad ibn Al-Basir. He went with the Mahdi to his call to the island of Aba. He went to Kordofan and met with great success from the locals who pledged to support and assist him. Then he proceeded to the capital of Kordofan and stayed as a guest of one of the sheikhs of the Danaga.

One day, he heard the noise of drums and music filling the area near his house and saw astonishment and surprise among the people. He asked for the reasons, and he was told that so-and-so wanted to parade with a boy named (Qarfa) and then believe and then deny.
