I have guided you to God and informed you of His message, and you seek to withdraw from the public treasury, and you are not... what I have called you to until you have burdened yourselves by hinting in your correspondence and showing... with Sheikh Ahmad Silban, and if you have done so, you seek to withdraw, in your opinion, for the sake of establishing... the religion, which I am not more worthy of than you, as you have sought to withdraw from us... to establish and build it. And if you had shared the religion with me and become like me in it, it would have been your right to seek withdrawal... from me only after the inability to achieve the necessities and merits, as you are among the prominent supporters... of the religion, and what is required then is for the believer to be with his brother like two hands, one supporting the other. And the believers are from one source, and the believers are my allies and helpers, as God says: "And the believing men and believing women are allies of one another." And if you were like that, then... the trust is confirmed, then you are more deserving of it than us, due to your adherence to these conditions. As for... the spending in it, Abu Bakr spent his wealth, dates, and Uthman, Ali, Al-Zubayr, and Talhah... sacrificed themselves and their wealth in support of the religion, so they became supporters of the religion with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, as if they were himself. Rather, they have sacrificed themselves, their wealth, and their children... and their families with their own consent, to the extent that they would shield the thorn for the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, with their souls. So do not... my beloved, I ask you to establish your worldly affairs and ask me about their well-being, and your requests to me and your efforts were... in what I have done, with consideration for what was from the companionship of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, in all your conditions and affairs. Nevertheless, when I saw that I had to respond to you... I have done what I have done to redress your grievances and fulfill your needs as helpers and to reward you... and you have wronged each other, so you have abandoned my reward and my helpers, and you have wronged me by hinting... and you insult my companions and my helpers and you hurt me. And it has reached you that my companions are like the companions of the Messenger of God...
