... (He) has no partner, except to Him, with knowledge of His hands and His greatness, and what He has prepared in the Hereafter. So long for Him, and turn your gaze away from what is fleeting, saying, "Indeed, to Him we will return." So God will reward you with prayers upon His beloved, the Prophets, the Messengers, the Angels, and the devoted, and with His mercy, a special mercy befitting His greatness, and for what you have thought of God. You have followed the path of God and His favor.

So God guided him to that, because the reward is of the same kind as the deed. And whoever strives, God will guide him. God Almighty says: "And those who strive in Us, We will surely guide them to Our paths." So do not despair, my beloved, in anything other than God, and do not yearn for anything other than the abode of permanence, which will perish. It will bring long regret. So enjoy the trials of this world with good thoughts of God, and turn away from the pleasures of this world, which bring misery. And urge our brothers who believe in word and deed, and be as God Almighty says: "O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, God is with the patient." And do not say of those who are killed in the way of God, "They are dead," but rather, "They are alive, but you do not perceive." And prepare yourselves for contentment with His saying: "And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient. Those who, when afflicted with calamity, say, 'Indeed, we belong to God, and indeed, to Him we will return.' Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy, and it is those who are the guided." So that you may attain, through contentment and patience with what has been mentioned, God's prayers, mercy, and love. And peace be upon you.

(Addendum) And O my beloved, after this my will, let your reliance be on God Almighty in full. Your affairs are in His hands, in compliance with His saying: "And whoever relies on God, He is sufficient for him." So reliance on God is the treasure of the believer, for the believer's treasure is his Lord. Wherever his gaze is directed, he reaches his Lord and is rewarded. And whoever relies on other than God, He will abandon him in his time of need.
