-45-Al-Naqqar, may God have mercy on him, told me: Al-Kufi narrated from Sheikh Hassan, may God be pleased with him, that he said: My master Sheikh Hassan said to me, "O Kufi, I will tell you about the beginning of my affair. I went out seeking a Sheikh. I entered the island of Aslakh, and they honored me and then constrained me. I said, 'These people honored me, but they are not my masters.' Then I traveled to the island of Anqawi, and they honored me. I said, 'These people are my masters.' Then I came to Al-Matar, and I found the scholars gathered around a Sheikh, and people were present for his honor. He said, 'I do not find the poor.' Then he said, 'Yes.' He said, 'Is there a boatman?' He said, 'Yes.' He said, 'O Faitir, take this leftover salt water and eat it.' I said, 'Is he my master who honored me?' He said, 'O Faitir, take this water skin, fill it from the sea.' When I came to the sea, it filled itself without me filling it. I took it and came to the Sheikh, and I found him to be a young man. He performed ablution, then he grew until his head reached the roof of the Khalwa, then he returned to his state as a Sheikh. I said to myself, 'He is my Sheikh, but turn to the island of Ba'udha and enter a Khalwa in it to have a great status.' Then he said, 'We will be born after us.' Finally, when anyone from Dhirba Al-Abkar came to Sheikh Hassan, he would embrace him and say, 'And his father was like this.' Then I presented myself to him with remembrance and worship. The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, came to me with Ali, and it was said Abu Bakr, and he taught me remembrance. Then, O Kufi, while I was sleeping in the Khalwa, I saw a large star in the sky. My soul became attached to it and left my body. It flew and pierced the seven heavens. I heard the creaking of pens. If, O Kufi, it were in the time of Muhammad, peace be upon him, we would have built a house. I returned and woke up on an island in the sea of Al-Milkh. A man wearing a wool garment came to me and taught me a prayer and walked with me two steps. Then, when I debated them, they spoke in a language that made the readers leave. Then I came and found Rawas with a boat. He took me into it. I came seeking my Khalwa and found a poor man in the process of washing his legs. He said, 'Sit until you leave the Khalwa. There is a poor person in it.' I said, 'My Khalwa.' Then I found, O Kufi, that even if they sawed it with saws, my soul would not move. I entered it. Then my father came to me and said, 'The son of the poor man who entered upon me.' He said, 'No one entered upon me.' Then he said, 'You are the one who entered upon me.' He came to me at Rawas, and he was with him. He said, 'From my Lord, what brought you in your boat today?' He said to him, 'A man came to me, and he was guiding me.' He wanted to say this and then stopped. Then he said, 'O Hassan, the saints will guide you.' The duration of the Sheikh's stay in the Khalwa was four months. Abu Humayda."
