Fadl Ali Badai, or Dhahr al-Kabir, said, "No, if you do not pray for him, we will leave that." The people were not pleased. Ibn Razi said to him, "By God, he commanded everyone he appointed and repented to him, because if he prayed for him and it was known, it would be known that he does not fast, give charity, or order divorce and marriage, and the mixing of men with women, and he commanded men to fear sedition. And he commanded that he read it, and you are ignorant of the rulings of: (1) Mixing with creation, and the common people, the poor, and the crooked ways. As for mixing with the people of religion, there is no harm in it. (2) The six pillars of faith are belief in God, His angels, His books, His messengers, the Last Day, and divine decree, its good and evil, its sweet and bitter. And God is most high. (3) The five pillars are the testimony that there is no god but Allah, and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, the establishment of prayer, the giving of zakat, the fasting of Ramadan, and the pilgrimage to the House for those who can find a way to it. And he is great.
