The brothers, Rama and Wad Kun, there are those who do not count them. Therefore, it is said (may God bless him): "Whoever wills, let him believe, and whoever wills, let him disbelieve." And he (may God bless him) said, addressing the brothers: "As for our son, Sayyid Muhammad bin Al-Sanusi, we have commanded him to guide creation to God and to draw seekers to God. Beware, beware of anything that distracts you from His remembrance, for he is the representative of God, whom God has chosen for that. And perhaps someone else could do it, but we have not seen anyone who has done it better than him. He has repeatedly asked us to do this. If people knew his status and his high standing with God, they would flock to his door to see him and love him, for he is a rare man in our time, and people underestimate him and harm him. Beware, beware of harming him, for whoever harms him has harmed me. And I fear for him from the punishment of God and His torment. And whoever speaks ill of him has spoken ill of me, and whoever harms me has harmed the Messenger of God (peace be upon him), and whoever harms the Messenger of God (peace be upon him) has harmed God. And we have turned our gaze, outwardly and inwardly, away from anyone who has wronged him. And our companions have not been involved in his desires as he wished. And we have not commanded him.

... and he was not exposed to any harm, except what God and His Messenger willed. Nor did he seek anything. This relationship. And the strong evidence is that Ibn Idris was with Ibn Al-Sanusi and praised him highly. And he cited as evidence for that a text - which he narrates from them - from the book "Raa'ah Al-Sudan," which is preserved by him. And the book is from Al-Shammakh Ibn Idris to Muhammad 'Uthman Al-Marghani, may God have mercy on him. It reached him that Al-Marghani had many followers and that he made it obligatory for them to pay a certain amount each year. So Ibn Idris wanted to admonish him. ... to God without intermediaries, so that each of them compiled a valuable book, through which God opened their knowledge, from good tidings and revelations, to the extent that some of the great predecessors, such as Al-Yazid...
