38 Note.-—The Didinga and Taposa are not included in the table on page 37. | NA The Committee feels that Bari is the most important language in the group, but recognizes that it could only be used as the medium of instruction in schools amongst the Bari themselves, the Niangbara, Mandari, and possibly the Kuku for the present. It should be possible in time to replace Kakwa also by Bari, while as regards the Fajelu either Bari or Kakwa could be used as the medium of instruction at once.

The Committee feels that of the group Latuko-Lofit-Lokoya-Dongotono, Latuko is the most important, and that it 1s unnecessary that any of the other languages should be used as media of instruction in schools. | The Committee saw no immediate prospect of Bari replacing Latuko.
