The mid-eighth century saw the end of Christian rule over it. This prompted al-Shaybani to write his commentary on it, as he mentioned in his words: [Commentary] al-Nasiri, when they took the city of Tripoli in the year 756.

I have not found any commentary on al-Murshida in the city of Tripoli or its surroundings, only a brief summary of about eight pages in the quarter of al-Bataq(?). This prompted me to add to it from my understanding, despite its limitations, and to include what has been opened to me from the words of the theologians.

This commentary is considered one of the most important commentaries on al-Murshida in its entirety, and it is based on the comparison of opinions and its dialectical style. It appears that its author was widely knowledgeable in theology and its various schools.

As for the East: Al-Murshida was not only popular in the Maghreb, but its fame also reached the East. It was known and studied in the Levant, especially from the sixth century to beyond the eleventh century.

However, its status in the East was not the same as in the Maghreb in terms of acceptance and rejection. Due to the difference in theological schools, there were two opposing stances towards it.

Two copies of it are found in the National Library in Paris in the same collection, number 5296. The first from folios 63a to 91b, and the second from folios 93a to 101b. A copy is also found in the library of al-Nasiriyya in Timbuktu, Morocco, in the second collection, number 2296.

k) Sheikh al-Minuni mentioned: Civilization of Wadi Draa from the article in the magazine "Hesperis" in the year 1973, issue 3 and 2, pages 210-212. In this year, Tripoli was under the rule of the Banu Thabit family. In the reign of Thabit bin Muhammad, the Genoese managed to capture Tripoli in the year 1355 AH, 756 AD. The governor of Gabès, Abu al-Abbas Ahmad bin Makki, expelled them from the city in the same year.
