The decisive statement regarding the Imam Al-Mahdi case.

How can the ignorant masses distinguish the just from the unjust, and the learned from the ignorant? Doubt clouds their judgment. Abu al-Qasim al-Sharif, from his testimony, and the Imam's focus on this aspect, carry meanings that draw attention to his circumstances. The Imam suffered greatly from the power of the forces that ultimately led to his death.

It is said: "The scholars are divided into four: Abu Bakr bin Aisha, who narrated from him; Abd al-Rahman bin Hanna, who was the most knowledgeable in fiqh; Ubayd Allah bin al-Madini, who was the most eloquent in his speech; and Yahya bin Ma'in, who was the most knowledgeable in hadith." It is also said that the Imam Abd al-Rahman bin Hanna surpassed the Ummah in hadith, due to his knowledge. Unlike Ibn al-Madini, who, although more eloquent than the Imam Abd al-Rahman in hadith, the Imam Abd al-Rahman was more knowledgeable in fiqh than him. This is why Malik, may God have mercy on him, said about him, referring to his sister Bakr: "I see you are knowledgeable in hadith and understand it." She replied: "Yes." He said: "If your brother wants to benefit from you and you benefit from him, then learn hadith and fiqh from him." Ibn Taymiyyah approved of the Imam Abd al-Rahman's saying: "Knowledge of hadith and fiqh is more beloved to me than memorizing it."

The hadith was not only transmitted by those who agreed with the scholars and their students, but also by those who were not qualified to occupy the teaching chair, the pulpit of guidance, and the forefront of leadership.

This is illustrated by the story of Malik and Abd al-Aziz bin Abi Suwa and Abd al-Rahman bin Ibrahim bin Dinar and Yahya bin Yahya al-Tamimi. When Malik and Abd al-Aziz were asked, they would give their answers. When Ibn Dinar and his companions were asked, they would give their answers. Ibn Dinar then confronted him, saying: "O Abu Bakr, have you not received what you have been given?" He replied: "O nephew, what is that?" He said: "Malik and Abd al-Aziz are asked, and they give their answers. You and your companions are asked, and you give your answers." He said: "Has this happened, O nephew, by your strength?" He said: "Yes." He said: "I am close to you, and I advise you. I fear that your end will be like mine, and Malik and Abd al-Aziz..."
