The definitive statement regarding suspicion in the case of Imam Al-Mahdi.

It is said that if something happens by chance, it is weak, but if it happens intentionally, it is strong. This is if the event is accidental.

'Abd Allah ibn al-Mubarak said: "None of our companions are more knowledgeable than 'Abd Allah ibn Hanna; he advised me that it is from a book, and we have a precedent in it." The narration is therefore from 'Abd Allah ibn Hanna and Ibn al-Mubarak. As for Ibn al-Mubarak, whoever knows him, Al-Dhahabi has praised him until he himself said: "I have never humbled myself before anyone as I have humbled myself before Ibn al-Mubarak." Al-Dhahabi said: "What do you wish for?" He said: "To be a scholar of Iraq, and 'Abd Allah ibn al-Mubarak to be a scholar of the Arabs."

The most I could do was ask him for a drink of Zamzam water and circumambulate the Kaaba. He said: 'Then he came to me.' He said: 'You are a stranger.' He said: 'I said yes.' He said: 'Then you went to the lodging.' He said: 'Then I went with him, and I did not ask him about anything, and he did not inform me of anything. Then he came to me.' He said: 'As for you, you do not know your lodging yet.' He said: 'I said yes.' He said: 'Then you went with him.' He said: 'What is your command and what brought you to this land?' He said: 'I said to him: If I knew, I would have told you.' He said: 'Then do so.' He said: 'I said to him: We were informed that a man has emerged here who claims to be a prophet. So I sent his brother to be with him, and he is guiding him. I wanted to meet him.' He said to him: 'Indeed, you have found this, and he is here. Enter where he entered.' He said: 'If I see anyone I fear, I will go to the gardens.' He said: 'I am safe with you.' He said: 'Then I went with him until he entered, and I entered with him to the Prophet, peace be upon him.' I said to him: 'Present Islam to him, and he accepted it...' So I stayed there."
