The decisive statement regarding the suspicion in the case of Imam Al-Mahdi.

After the bitterness became more severe than before, the most eager of the Ansar to take revenge from the family of the ruler of the Ansar, and this bitterness was mentioned by the narrator. He said: "When the city is entered, they will take as many of the family of Muhammad as they can, and they will kill from the sons of Hashim and the women. Then Al-Mahdi and Al-Bain will flee from the city to Mecca. Then the city will be entered, and it will be taken with its inhabitants and its wealth."

And Imam Al-Sadiq said: "When the city is entered, men will be killed in it, and Al-Mahdi and Al-Munthir will flee from it, and the family of Muhammad will be taken, their possessions and their wealth, and no one will be left in it except the slaves. And the Ansar will emerge from it."

The Ansar wanted to fulfill the narration literally and described it as a weakness in the Hadith. To approximate the meaning, the Prophet (peace be upon him) ordered the army to be sent to fight the Romans under the command of Usama bin Zayd, and the companions hesitated about that, and some of them said: "He is from the men." And others said: "He is a young man." But the Prophet (peace be upon him) was angry about that, and said: "If you hesitate about his command, then you have hesitated about the command of his father before. If he was worthy of command, and if he was one of the most beloved of people to me, and this is one of the most beloved of people to me after him."

So why was he so eager for this young man to remain in command?

Ibn Taymiyyah explained the reason for this. He said: "Usama bin Zayd was appointed to take revenge for his father, Zayd bin Harithah, who was killed in the Battle of Mu'tah."

Therefore, the family of Muhammad, their possessions and their wealth, were taken. This is the martyrdom of Imam Al-Mahdi!
