He is not a Taghut, but we must disbelieve in the divinity attributed to him. We must disbelieve in Taghut: (and it is everything that is worshipped besides Allah and is pleased with that) because the legal textual evidence indicates that we must disbelieve in it, not because disbelieving in it is disbelief in Taghut. And we, praise be to Allah, disbelieve in Taghut, his soldiers, his followers, those who ally with him in his disbelief, and those who help him in it. However, we excuse those who are ignorant of this legal ruling if they disavow the act of disbelief, hate it, and deny it. So, disbelieving in Taghut is separate from the fundamental disbelief in it, but it is one of its legal obligations. And Allah the Almighty said: [Surah An-Nisa: 136]. So, does it mean that he disbelieves in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, and the Last Day that he disbelieves in them?! In conclusion: Disbelief in Taghut does not mean that he disbelieved (with emphasis on the 'fa') in Taghut, even though disbelieving in it is one of its legal obligations. Therefore, we can imagine the realization of disbelief in a specific Taghut while being ignorant of its ruling, or hesitating to disbelieve in it due to ignorance or misinterpretation, and this is not disbelief as claimed by the extremists.
