Chapter Three: Awlad Muhammad [Researcher] (L) Al-Darr Al-Akilah. (M) Al-Habaynah. (N) Al-Saka'iyah. (S) Idak. (A) Idbaliyah. (A) Awlad Al-Aq'as, who hold the leadership in the tribe, and descend from Muhammad Al-Aq'as, the eldest son of the tribe's ancestor Muhammad. It also includes a large number of tents that came from other sub-factions. Therefore, Awlad Al-Aq'as are considered the true representatives of all Awlad Muhammad. After the tribe was not represented, these tents did not wish to rejoin their original sub-factions but preferred to remain permanently where they were. Awlad Al-Aq'as are further divided into six secondary sub-factions: Ahl Al-Hajj, Ahl Maulud, Ahl Hatayh, Ahl Buhdah, Al-Hartin, and Ahl Ahmad Han. All together, they comprise 350 tents, numbering 1728 people. Their leader, who is also the chief of the entire tribe, is Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Shin. They graze in the rainy season south of Al-Nu'ma, Zangara, Kumun, and Idris, and in the dry season in Al-Mabruk, Kakatah, the region of Sagulu, and Bu Jajirah. (B) Awlad 'Ullul, who descend from 'Ullul ibn Muhammad, the supreme ancestor of the tribe. Despite some gaps, the lineage of the sub-faction's chief is: Umar ibn Hammadi ibn Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Bal Khair ibn 'Ullul. Awlad 'Ullul comprise 40 tents and 123 people, and they inhabit the areas of Awlad Al-Aq'as. (C) Awlad Al-Dhib, who descend from Al-Dhib ibn Muhammad. The lineage of their current chief is: Mubarak ibn Sidi Ibrahim ibn Muhammad ibn Al-Mukhtar ibn Bubakr ibn Al-'Anai ibn Al-Dhib ibn Muhammad. The real name of Al-Dhib is Muhammad. Awlad Al-Dhib comprise 120 tents and 332 people. They include six sub-factions: Ahl Muhammad, which is the leadership camp; Ahl Sidi Ali; Ahl Al-Qasim; Ahl Kujjah; Ahl Anbi; and Ahl Sidi Mahmud. They share the same grazing areas as their cousins. (D) Al-Zamarik, who descend from Zamrak, the fourth son of Muhammad. The lineage of their chief, which undoubtedly contains a gap, is: Abdullah ibn Hammadi ibn Al-Bakay ibn Umar ibn Abdullah ibn Muhammad, nicknamed 'Ala Al-Kibd, ibn Al-Mukhtar ibn Zamrak. This leader was born around 1875 and is a highly intelligent and respected man. Al-Zamarik are divided into eight sub-factions: Ahl Umar ibn Abdullah, which is the leadership camp, and its chief is the chief of the sub-faction; Al-Talabah, whose chief is A'mar ibn Al-Dhib; Al-Zakareer, whose chief is Baba ibn Al-Mukhtar; Al-'Athamin, whose chief is Sidi ibn Al-Siddiq; and Awlad 'Uliyat, whose chief is Al-Hajj.
