They spread out or merged with the neighboring tribes; they should not be confused with their cousins, the sons of Dawud bin Arouq, who inherited their influence. As for the tribes or branches that are prominent from Dawud bin Muhammad, who are still present today, they are the sons of Billa, Al-Tanakeed, the sons of Mansour, the sons of Bu Faida, the sons of Talha (among the Id'aish), and the sons of Nakhla (among the Al-Aqallil), etc. This first Arab incursion, which occurred at the end of the 16th century, was followed by a significant invasion by their cousins, the sons of Dawud bin Arouq, who became the political masters of the land, and today constitute five tribes: the sons of Alloush, Ahl Borda, Tarmaz (12), the sons of Zaid, and Al-Jaghaffra. The sons of Muhammad Ya Hamad arrived in the Hod in the 17th century and established their dominance there and in the upper coast, replacing the dominance of the sons of Dawud. The latter, after their defeat, were forced to abandon their homelands and retreat towards the Niger River. This is why we find them today in the east, having been settled by the sons of Muhammad Ya Hamad when they came from Mauritania, passing through Tagant and crushing them along the river between Ras Al-Ma and its neighbor.
