and they were for the Kahiya Salm Fulwa, the planners, to the village of Sarb Fars, and they arrived and were met by the commander Luwa.

He sent them reinforcements with relief, so the Kahiya Mamad al-Tarzi went with him, with a contingent of archers.

He was met in al-Halla by the archers, and he returned with them, but they achieved nothing. And the people of al-Halla went to Baina, the aforementioned Busar, sent a cry to those behind him, saying that the Sultans Da'ka Dam and others, and they responded to him with a plea. So each of them sent a group of men to his aid until they remained.

Busar insisted that they not fight with the archers in the forest, openly and in secret, and the people of Hatta remained in the siege for four months, with no way out and no escape. Every day, one could hear from the enemy the heart, because that killing had reached the extreme of evil, to the point of severing the vital organs.

And the end of the greed in the hearts of the Sudanese, and they swore that if the people of Hatta did not give them the commander Malik to kill him with their slain, they would have to come to Hatta and kill all the white people in it.

For the people of the treasury and others, and the burden of this was heavy until the commander Ahmad came.

Muddal, at the end of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah. And the commander of the school, and the dismissal of kings from it, was the key to relief and joy.

And people reminded them that this killing was only from the kings alone, and therefore the owner of the Emirate dismissed him. They were enraged by this, and the commander Ahmad appeased them and calmed them with gifts.

And kind words, until their anger subsided and they were appeased. But this had brought them loss and destruction.

And at the end of Dhu al-Qi'dah, al-Muharram, I went to Masna to visit the honorable judge, Sayyid Mudd, son of Sultan Hamad Amin al-Tarzi, for a customary visit. And the month of Dhu al-Hijjah al-Haram began for me there.
