This is about the people of Tishket and their gathering under the Kaheya Mar bin Ahmad. They agreed and made peace. On Monday, the twelfth of Dhu al-Qi'dah, a letter arrived from the Kaheya Mansur bin Abdullah al-Aji in the land of Arwan. It informed them that Mawlay Ahmad al-Shaykh bin Mawlay Zaydan had passed away in the land of Marrakesh. It was confirmed that Mawlay al-Abbas, may God have abundant mercy on him and grant him the highest paradise, had become the Caliph of Marrakesh, and God had granted him a mighty victory and a clear conquest. On Wednesday, the eleventh of the sacred month of Haram, the year sixty-six and one thousand (1066 AH) was completed. My mother and our neighbor, the Sharifah, passed away. I, Umm Bashi Zaydan al-Sharif bin Ali al-Muzwar al-Hasani, prayed over her at the mosque. She was buried in the graveyard of her father in Maqad Sukri. She passed away on that Wednesday, may God have mercy on her and cool her thirst. On Sunday night, between Maghrib and Isha, our Sheikh and teacher, the learned jurist Imam Ahmad bin al-Faqih al-Qadi Abd al-Rahman al-Fallaq, passed away at the age of eighty-four. The Qadi Abd al-Rahman prayed over him in the desert at the great prayer ground. The righteous people were present on Sunday. He was buried in Khawar. He traveled to Tishket in the month of Sha'ban, around twenty-three years old, and entered it at the beginning of Sha'ban in the year one thousand and five (1005 AH). His father, at that time, received him with kindness, honor, advice, and comfort until his death. After he had mastered his studies, his father came from his homeland, intending to travel with him. His father dissuaded him from that. He listened to his father's words and acted upon them, so he left him. Then he returned to Tishket again, and it was destined for him to pass away there. He occupied himself with acquiring knowledge from the scholars of the city, which was abundant with them at that time. He learned from several of his father's teachers, including the jurist al-Qadi Muhammad bin Ahmad bin al-Qadi Abd al-Rahman.
