and Sheikh of Sheikhs, Imam Abdin bin Mad Kuri, and the Qadi Abdin bin Abd al-Karim, and the scholar Omar bin Abd al-Karim, and the scholar Baya bin Abd al-Karim, and the scholar al-Amin, and the scholar Qadi Sayyid Ahmad bin Muhammad, and others. And the scholar Ahmad Baba attended after his arrival from Masqata. And he was skilled in various sciences such as jurisprudence, hadith, usul, language, grammar, logic, prosody, arithmetic, and others. May God have mercy on him, forgive him, and raise his rank in the highest heavens.

And on the night of the tenth of Safar, the master of the time and its blessing, our Sheikh, Sheikh al-Islam and benefactor of mankind, the scholar Muhammad bin al-Faqih Ahmad bin al-Faqih al-Qadi Mud al-Wukri, passed away. His nephew, the scholar Muhammad bin al-Mustafa, prayed over him, and he was buried on Thursday in the desert, among the great and righteous, and buried next to his ancestors and his family in the cemeteries of Wukri. He was a knowledgeable, practicing, virtuous, pious, ascetic, and a saint, and he was the last of the Sheikhs, and the last to die. With him, their lineage ended. To God we belong and to Him we return. May God forgive him, have mercy on him, be pleased with him, and raise his rank in the highest heavens, and benefit us with his blessings in this world and the next. Amen.

And on the night of the eleventh of Rabi' al-Awwal, our brother Ahmad bin al-Hajj Muhammad bin al-Amin passed away. His nephew, the Qadi Abd al-Rahman, prayed over him in the desert in the morning, and he was buried next to his family in the cemeteries of Wukri. May God have mercy on him, forgive him, and be pleased with him by His grace. And on Sunday, the sixteenth of Rabi' al-Thani, a letter arrived from the commander Yahya bin Yahya al-Habani to the Pasha Muhammad bin Ahmad bin Saadun, informing him that the Sultan Mawlay Abd al-Rahman bin Hisham passed away on the twenty-second of Rabi' al-Thani in the year sixty-five.
