And reform of thought and behavior? And where is the Khatmiyya for the youth, offering them an alternative proposal, mature thought, and a distinct Islamic revival? And where is the Khatmiyya for a true Islamic renaissance led by the educated sons of the Khatmiyya, not by those seeking false sheikhdoms?

All these questions lead us to nothing, for the Khatmiyya is far from all of that.

And it is completely distant from public life, and it and its leaders have a role, but a greater one...

This does not mean that the Khatmiyya Tariqa is a zero on the left, nor does it mean that it has vanished from the hearts and minds of the people.
