And he said to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, "When will I be a believer?" He said, "When Allah makes you a believer." And the hadith in Bukhari is as we have previously stated.

And it was said to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, "When will I be a believer?" This hadith and the remaining hadiths in this chapter, I do not know them or find them. And it is said that it indicates, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, the love of Allah and His Messenger. And from the signs of the love of Allah and His Messenger, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, is the abundance of prayers upon him. And in another wording from another narration, "When will I be a sincere believer?" Sincerity is the conformity of words, actions, and states, and the hidden and the apparent. The servant is described by all his religious and worldly affairs, matching the apparent with the hidden. So, what he is sincere about is his state, and what he is characterized by in his state is sincerity. If he speaks, his speech is sincere. If he acts, his actions are sincere. If he is described by this description, he is not described by hypocrisy, which is the furthest of descriptions from the degree of faith. Nor is he described by hypocrisy, which is the apparent and the hidden. And the most detested of descriptions is that which appears to its owner. And the most detested of descriptions in the sight of Allah is to be characterized by it. And sincerity is to describe things as they are. And sincerity in faith is to act in accordance with the saying, "There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah," may Allah bless him and grant him peace, by not being pleased with anything other than Allah and not seeking anything other than Allah. And to act in accordance with the sayings, actions, morals, and states of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. And to fulfill covenants and trusts, and to be content with what is apparent and hidden, and to be pleased with the praise of the praisers and not to be pleased with the blame of the blamers. And to do all of that for the sake of Allah, in intention, resolve, and action. When you love Allah, your desire is only for Him. Faith is conditional on the love of Allah, and its origin is with its origin.

And love is a desire of the heart, and it is said that it is a desire for something. And if it is abundant, it is abundant. And the expressions of the truth are diverse. And the states are diverse. And the sayings are diverse. And most of them return to the meanings. And the truth is not known except by those who are aware of it and have experienced it. And the closest of that is the saying of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, may Allah be pleased with him: "Love is not for the ignorant to love, but for the heart to love." And he does not look at anything other than Him, and he does not turn away from Him, and he does not seek anything other than Him, and he does not find anything other than Him. And when the overwhelming power of the Almighty is revealed, the heart is overwhelmed by it without his choice, and without his will. And the love of the beloved is not felt by the lover, and when it takes him, he is unable to resist it. And the truth of what results from it cannot be expressed by words. And the accidents and purposes vanish, and the realities vanish. So nothing remains with him except the beloved, and no choice remains. And the love of Allah, the Almighty, has signs that have preceded it: preferring Him over the desires of the soul, and following the commands of the Sharia, and adhering to piety and abstinence, and longing to meet Him, the Almighty, and being pleased with His decree, and with His words, and delighting in His recitation, and being overjoyed when He is remembered or His name is heard, and being impatient with disobedience.
