"Indeed, we have been commanded to pray for him, and it is a right due to him, and it is incumbent upon us by faith and good deeds to do so. It is also incumbent upon us to pray for him abundantly, so that we do not forget him and are not negligent of him. It is not enough to limit oneself to that, but rather to move one's lips to pray for him. It is not difficult for him to pray for him once. It is sufficient to hear his remembrance, may God bless him and grant him peace. So, do not be stingy, O people, with your prayers for him. May God guide us and protect us from ourselves by his grace. May God bless him and grant him peace. Pray for him abundantly on the day of Friday, for it is a day of witnessing, attended by angels. And indeed, the prayers of my community are presented to me. I said: And after death? He said: And after death. Indeed, God has forbidden the earth from consuming the bodies of the prophets. Al-Dhahabi said: All the men in its chain of narration are trustworthy. And Al-Baqqah narrated in Al-Sha'b from the hadith of Abu Umamah: Pray for him abundantly on the day of Friday, for the prayers of my community are presented to me. So, on every Friday, if the most of his prayers were few, then the least of them would be many. Ibn Kathir said: And its chain of narration is weak. Al-Hakim and Al-Bayhaqi narrated from the hadith of Aws bin Aws Al-Thaqafi: The best of your days is the day of Friday. On it, Adam was created, and on it, the Trumpet will be blown, and on it, the Blast will occur. So, pray for him abundantly on it. They said: How are our prayers presented to you, O Messenger of God, when you will be dust? He said: God has forbidden the earth from consuming the bodies of the prophets. And Ibn Khuzaymah, Ibn Hibban, and Al-Daraqutni narrated it, and Ibn Abi Hatim mentioned it in Al-'Ilal. And it is narrated from Ibn Mas'ud that he said: Pray for him abundantly on the day of Friday. Whoever does that will be his intercessor and witness on the Day of Resurrection. Abu Talib Al-Makki said: That is three hundred times on the day of Friday. So, pray for him abundantly, may God bless him and grant him peace. For it is a day of witnessing, attended by angels, and the prayers of those who pray for him, may God bless him and grant him peace, are presented to him. And on it is the hour of acceptance, and other than that from his virtues. Ibn Al-Qayyim said: The wisdom in that is that he, may God bless him and grant him peace, is the master of mankind, and the day of Friday is the master of the days. So, praying for him on it is a right due to him that is not due to others, along with another wisdom, which is that he, may God bless him and grant him peace, is our intercessor for our community in this world and the hereafter. For he, may God bless him and grant him peace, has been sent to us with good and warning in this world. And he said: Pray for him abundantly on the day of Friday.
