In any enterprise to such a terra, incognita as Africa still is, as far as trade is concerned, some reverses must be expected, and a large return of profit must not be looked for at first; but a properly organised enterprise, where too much would not be attempted at first, might look in a few years to the payment of very respectable dividends, and to an unlimited field for future operations.
