As for the report submitted by the committee to the government, it has no relevance in this context. They have fully and extensively discussed the current state of drinking water, but they have not clearly stated in the preface which is better: Nile water or water from deep wells. The committee explained the advantages of the drinking water from the wells of Rawd al-Faraj, stating that its composition is not harmful to health and that it is healthier than Nile water. They said that its biggest defect is its containment of iron and manganese. However, the committee did not propose specific solutions for removing these two elements from the water. Therefore, further experiments must be conducted to determine the possible methods for making Rawd al-Faraj water as good as the best drinking water and comparable to Nile water in its qualities.
