And from the end of the people, I call you to God and submit. I have written this letter to you from Khartoum, out of compassion for you and eagerness for your guidance. I pray to God to open your chest to accept it and guide you to what is right and good in both worlds. I am coming to your direction with the soldiers of God soon, God willing. If you respond to me with submission, you will attain guidance and return to God, the Lord of all beings. Then you will have achieved eternal happiness and secured yourself, your property, and your honor, you and all those who follow you. If you refuse after this, it will be nothing but turning away from the path of success and guidance. Then your fate is sealed, and you will inevitably fall into our grasp, even if you are in strong fortresses. This is a warning from me, and it is sufficient for whoever realizes the opportunity. Peace be upon those who follow the guidance.
(The Second Book) In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to God, the noble ruler, and peace be upon our master Muhammad and his family.
From the servant who relies on God, Muhammad al-Mahdi, son of Abdullah, to the inhabitants of Egypt, merchants, officials, and others. May God guide them and lead them to righteousness and good. Amen. I send you greetings and hope that you will attain salvation from God's punishment by adhering to the religion brought to us by our Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. You have seen what has befallen it from destruction, which is not prevented by the promise of Muhammad, peace be upon him. If God wills to revive it and make it manifest, He has manifested me in the Mahdist caliphate and commanded me to call the people to act according to the Sunnah of the Prophet.
Since the appearance of this religious manifestation, the Turkish state has been mobilizing its armies and sending its men to fight me, without relying on any legal or Sharia evidence, but rather out of a desire for worldly dominion, which brings sorrow and regret, and incurs God's punishment on the Day of Resurrection.
