"And a garden prepared for the righteous, whose breadth is that of the heavens and the earth." It is not hidden from you that I have long held a good opinion of you and hoped for your mercy, and I saw in you piety and trustworthiness. I loved you for the sake of Allah and spoke to you as one loves. So much so that, due to the excess of my love for you in Allah, I issued to you some of my sealed commands, acting on my behalf, hoping that you would be among those who sold their souls to Allah for Paradise, and who spent their wealth and risked their lives in reviving the Sunnah. You supported me in this endeavor, then you broke your pledge and violated it. "And whoever breaks his pledge breaks it only to his own detriment." I strove to treat you with kindness and faced you, and killed noble men from the Ummah of Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, with your deception and assistance. You did not fear Allah, nor did you respect His sanctity, even though you are, in reality, deceived and led astray, unaware of the consequence of your actions. The completion is that Allah gives respite, but He does not neglect, nor does He withhold His wrath from the transgressors. So, O man, by your Lord, mend yourself and take heed from those who came before you, for the wise is he who learns from others, and the fortunate is he who plans for himself and considers the good of his future. And the intelligent is he who disciplines himself and acts for the sake of his hereafter. Know that Allah, when He seizes the oppressor, does not let him go. For all that has befallen you is a gradual leading to a terrible end and regret. So ponder your thoughts and reconsider your opinion, and know that the dominion belongs to Allah, and He gives it to whomever He wills of His servants. It is enough for you what has happened from your confronting Allah with deception, and strengthening the hands of His disbelieving enemies, and seeking their help in fighting the Muslims. Have you not considered His saying, exalted is He, in His clear Book: "O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and Christians as allies. They are allies of one another. And whoever allies himself with them is indeed one of them." And He said: "Do not take My enemy and your enemy as allies, extending to them affection, though they have disbelieved in what has come to you..." and other verses prohibiting alliance with disbelievers. As for my part, in breaking the pledge and enmity towards Allah, the Exalted, and leaning towards...
