And in general, when man is secure in his religion, there is no harm in traveling, especially for companionship like this. Perhaps all of this is the object of the esteemed author's attention in this interpretation. The fruit of this journey will be obtained, God willing, by disseminating these sciences and arts that will follow in the second chapter, and by their frequent circulation, translation of their books, and printing in the presses of the benevolent. Therefore, scholars should urge all people to engage in useful sciences, arts, and crafts. This is not a time when one can say, as Baha al-Din Abu al-Husayn al-Amili said in "Spending One's Life" on all books of knowledge, hoarding them and studying them in his poetry: You spent your wealth on books of knowledge, And in their correction, you completed them with those. The white agreed with the black, To that which does not benefit in the hereafter. From evening until morning, you would study them, And your mind was not sound. And you would wake up in pain without benefit, With the finest intentions and proofs. And clarifying the obscure in every chapter, And directing the question with the answer. By my life, guidance has led you astray, A straying that has no end. And you have obtained the fruits of regret, And deprivation until the Day of Resurrection. And remembering the stations and observatories, Will close the doors of your intentions to you. So success is not to be expected from straying, Nor will healing cure ignorance. And with guidance, no guidance was obtained, And with explanation, no correctness was apparent. And with clarification, the perceptions became confused, And with the lamp, the paths became dark. And with the struggle, no دليل (dalil - proof/guide) appeared, And with clarification, no paths became clear. You spent the essence of your precious life, On refining the discussions of the concise. With this matter, spending life in ignorance, Arise and strive in this formidable time.
