I smelled the scent of the crowds and often pitied the hunger of the straying ones. And lands that strayed in the path of misguidance, a people who strayed and went astray and became corrupt. They planted the seeds of sin in madness, for they reaped what they had sown, nothing but the thorns of the qatad. And they spread corruption in the land as if they were lions that came upon the people, and the colonizer's light pierced them from afar, so they sought the shame of the servants. And they cleared the path, thinking it was easy for them, so they strove, and justice was on the lookout. Then the watchmen of the cannons brought them down, and they turned away from the lands and the enemies. And they plotted against the listeners with treachery that did not extract from them the utmost effort. And they threw their fire upon the homes and spent what they had gathered of new and old. It is a disgrace to our honor if they are victorious, they will humiliate and subjugate with great effort. And a custom by which their children are buried in the graves of their fathers and bodies. So lament those palaces, for they were the pillars of support and rest. Alas for him who was led by his desires to the attackers and found no leader. So a people came to them, and the voice of the caller of disaster sounded, "My country!" So they rushed to seek salvation from death with their souls, their families, and their children. Oh, what a moment it was that passed, and souls departed from bodies. How many a funeral procession carried a group on shoulders or on poles. And a soul lamented, saying to its companions, "When will I die before my children?" Kindness, O children of the children, and a good return, seeking it with a sword. Whose hands are stained with blood for the one who liberated him, a child recently arrived in the land. And who else in this world has anything but anxiety, from whom and from whom? And a people whose well-being has left them, and they have striven to please their families and friends. And their crowds do not stand in their way, and the distant ones are fragrant and desired. And their clothes and their insides have taken the place of their comfort and their food. As if they were **Abi** Bidou, then the one who was taken away from us at birth. Their cooperation with the oppressors is not seen to have any guidance in their roots. Or perhaps they intended to drink in the morning, and a hunter came from those who remained. He built the disgrace and excelled in his greed, and began to devour and destroy. So they scattered, and the horror was terrible, and he said to them, "Go in groups without fear." Or perhaps they are the people of the graves, awakened by the blowing of the trumpet after they have eaten. They spread lessons and warnings, for their Lord's day of return is coming without appointment.
