Profits increased by 29% in 1937 and 8% in 1938, bringing the capital to three hundred thousand pounds. Profits increased by 20% in 1939 and 12% in 1940, reaching ten thousand pounds. The current capital is 7,000 pounds. The capital of the company is 54,329 pounds.

The new pumps have been installed in Wadi El-Nour, and this area will be planted with cotton. The area planted with cotton in Gezira will double compared to last year, with another ten thousand feddans to be planted this year.

The head of the Syndicate spoke at the annual meeting held last November about the desired progress in relation to the dam, Kassala province, and the completion of Wadi El-Nour. Among the important issues he mentioned was the provision of funds. The company has deposited funds and trusts estimated at about eight hundred thousand pounds, and will spend considerable funds from the capital in the next two years. Therefore, new generous conditions are expected, as happened last year. This explains the reason for the rise in the share price.
