And the land of Egypt will be crowded with its inhabitants, and in Menoufia there are now 360 people per square kilometer. Thus, migration is inevitable, with the fathers of Aswan moving to Dakahlia and the sons of Qena to Aswan, and so on, the Egyptians will ascend from the Delta along the course of the Nile to Sudan and populate it. Since the restoration of Sudan until today, many have abandoned their countries for Dakahlia, Bar, Al-Jazeera, and elsewhere. Lord Cromer and Sir Garstin were pessimistic about the fate of Sudan due to its sparse population, so some Englishmen suggested transferring Indian groups there, but the experiment did not succeed and cannot succeed. These irrigation projects in Al-Jazeera are carried out by Egyptians, who are hired as laborers for wages, but under a system that is almost military, as they hire the worker for a period of one or two years and give each one a specific salary. Each worker is obliged to spend the period they committed to in Sudan and to follow the system they established. The Kenya incident made the English wary of having too many Indians in one of their colonies, so they became alert. They are not keen on Indians and Scotsmen, so the Indians began demanding the rights of the English. Therefore, in Sudan, they shifted from using Indians to using Somalis. And since numbers do not lie, we quote here a statement presented by His Highness Prince Omar Toussoun to the Egyptian Scientific Institute in a session on March 3, 1924, showing with numbers how Egypt is expected to become burdened and how this increase in population finds no basis except in Sudan. His Highness the Prince titled his statement: "The Finance of Egypt from the Era of the Pharaohs to Today" What the reader, especially the Egyptian, will be interested in is the conclusion of this statement and its reinforcement with numbers.
