In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to God, the Generous Ruler, and peace be upon our Master Muhammad, and upon his family and companions, and thereafter.

This is from Abd Rabbo, the poor servant of God, Al-Mahdi bin Abdullah, beloved in God, the Khalifa Muhammad Al-Mahdi, son of the Saint Al-Senussi. O beloved, who is aware of the Sunnah of the guided and guiding Prophet, leading servants to the station of closeness.

My beloved, and those with us among the helpers, are waiting for you to establish the religion before the advent of the Mahdi, the servant of the lowly. We informed you when we heard of your steadfastness and your turning to God upon the Sunnah of the Prophet and your readiness to revive the religion, that we would come to you and gather with you.

But you did not respond to us, and it seemed that you did not come to us until I mentioned all those I had gathered with from the people of religion, the elders, and the appointed scholars. They refused, because the love of religion, in their opinion, and the love of homeland and life had taken hold of their hearts, and their unity was weak.

Until the weak pledged allegiance to me to flee with the religion and establish it as God, Lord of the Worlds, wills. And the souls of those who pledged allegiance to us were pleased with the religion, and they did not die. And the imprisoned remained in their lives, seeing those who were not with them in God, as if they were with Him, and they desired what is with God.

I sought the advent of the Mahdi, and the Messenger of God, peace be upon him, appeared to me and said: "You are the chosen one, who is powerful over all things." And the Messenger of God, peace be upon him, commanded me to write to the East and the West, whether rich or poor. So, whoever God showed him happiness believed in it, and the wretched denied it and went into denial, even though the Prophet, peace be upon him, had sat on his throne and given me his sword, in the presence of the Caliphs. He appointed me as the Mahdi, the saints, the poles, the near angels, and he was present. And I knew that there is no victory for anyone except through me. The sword of victory comes from Him who was present with him, peace be upon him.

And the support from God and His Messenger continued to increase, and you were with us until the news reached us from Sudan.
