I am captive to your love, O Qadiel, O Nawakam, Perhaps your satisfaction will be near. My heart is sick, my body is weak, And my legs are long, so tend to the physician. I abandoned the stars, I shed tears, My secret is revealed, and my heart is melted. I wear out the ruins and the stars rest, I endure knowledge and calamities together. Alas, my soul grieves for my mistake, And my body becomes emaciated and distressed. The pain of Adam's sin has come, And I gather what I can to repent. I ask you, my Creator, for repentance, For you have always been an answerer to those who ask. I feared the heights on the Day of Judgment, When my banner will be white with age. And you are my companion on the Day of Reckoning, How can you be a watcher on the Day of Reckoning? So be my guide, and how often I have erred, But I called upon the Hearer, the Answerer. I knew that the departure would empty the Karrzi, And the wind continued to blow away sorrows. The dawn grieves me at its rising, And for those who rest, the sunsets are abundant. When the wind blows from Taybah, The earth is perfumed with musk and fragrance. And they loved to go there, and for its sake, I love the young man and I love the Southerners. To him whom God forgives sins, Indeed, the best guide guided to righteousness, All the servants and the clear calamities. May my Lord grant me healing, may he be exalted, He comes in spring, and revives the hearts.
