The Pleiades ruled with an open hand. From your Nile, in flesh or thinness, Thus are the high built and praise is stored. And favor is gained, and reward is seized. Virtues that never cease to increase their flow, Through time, they are not weary, nor is time’s least. If they are erased by their hopes, they will be adorned with beauty, And the gaze and the splendor will be beautiful in their descriptions. And here are its rhymes from the stars, So the one who esteems poetry is safe, and poetry composes it. A boastful people, conversing, For its trace will never be sufficient. And what is the thought of the intelligent that has been troubled? In its words is pearl, and in its writing is price. The one who tests the saying, discerning it, Its solace is within it, like a jewel. And in the year thirty of the honored Sha'ban, the noble command was issued, may God grant His station with the renewal and the command of the noble Amir Al-Ahli in Tasfin, his brother. May God grant him insight into the kingship over him, and release his hand to the sword and the pen, And the tribute and the judgment, and a document was written to that effect by the treasurer of the noble Abu Tha Shin. May God grant his intentions acceptance of that piety and obedience to his lord, and reluctance from Appearing before him or missing a contract and its dissolution. So he was summoned and his chest May God grant him, and he was reprimanded for it, and the keys of the caliphate were handed over to him. Shame overcame his sight, and awe delayed his movements. And he departed, and he ordered his mounts to be prepared and resolved To depart.
