Then he began to complain about his companion, Bey Ganim, and Al-Maa'isa, and withdrew. And the rest of the people did not feel safe from his words. He soon began his wicked ways and followed the path of the Berawu tribe. He took the path of injustice and oppression against the people, and made what was not done by others in his rule a ransom for one who would rebel against him. He violated the sanctity of people's homes and indulged in wine and the shedding of blood without limit. He reached a point in shedding blood and killing innocent souls that no one could deter him. He imprisoned and tortured them, including Bin Abd al-Nabi, and others. They were brought to the plain of Ganim, and he inflicted upon them torments that would weaken the strong. He brought the head of Ramadan's master, Sidi, and ordered them to play with it as a ball, to stab it, and to curse it with every foul curse. He ordered that the head be buried as they used to do in their lives. He gathered the flesh of the dead and threw it into the garden. He caused them great suffering. He ordered that their eyes be gouged out as he had done to him. Then he watched them. He brought them chains and shackles, which were difficult to remove. He sent women to the house of Ramadan on the third day of Sha'ban, and sent them with a group of his servants to Durfa, and ordered them to take the news of the death of Sidi Murad's enemies. The merchants and shopkeepers were celebrating the news from the people of the country. When he ordered that in Shawwal he indulged in wine, and shed blood, and killed a group of his companions and servants. On the third day, the news reached him, and he held a council to collect his tribute.
