After Al-Nur answered "one hundred," Sheikh Khogli instructed him to repeat "O ancient benefactor, your ancient benevolence" one hundred times, after which he was granted his request. The text also recounts an incident where Sultan Bakr of Kunjara, upon hearing that King Badi had vowed to destroy Sennar, set out with his army. He encountered Sheikh Khogli, who struck him with a stick, causing him to swell and die. This death was attributed to the Sultan of Fowk, who had sought Sheikh Khogli's help. Another story involves a gatekeeper who, when told that the travelers had not arrived, directed them to a certain storehouse. They filled it with earth, but then found red grain there, which people sought for blessings. Finally, the text mentions a childhood visit to Sheikh Khogli with an aunt. Sheikh Khogli spat into a shell and a jug for the aunt, and the narrator used it to rub on a sore.
