Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and peace and blessings be upon His most noble Messenger, our master and our patron Muhammad, and upon his pure and pious family and companions, and his righteous guides. I bear witness that there is no god but God alone, without partner, and no protector other than Him, nor any worshipped besides Him. He is the ancient God, to whose might and majesty all faces bow, and before whose greatness the necks of tyrants bend. He is capable of all things, whose dominion has no beginning and whose eternity has no end. And I bear witness that our master Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger, the universal and encompassing mercy, the greatest gate of God, and His exalted patron (1). May God bless him, his family, his companions, his wives, his descendants, his followers, and his lovers, and grant them peace. (And thereafter) the book "The Famous Tabaqat" by the great scholar Muhammad Dhaif Allah bin Muhammad Al-Jamali Al-Uqaili is a glorious volume and a magnificent historical work, containing the biographies of two hundred and twenty-seven men of action among the scholars and pious individuals. They are symbolized by the Arabic letters, and they are the reason for this compilation. Others are mentioned incidentally, or for a specific occasion, or as countless students. May God benefit us all through them. It also contains the history of many past events and many Arab genealogies, especially the lineage of the noble Al-Rukabi, may God be pleased with them, which is fully covered.

For a long time, I have been thinking of printing this book to immortalize it and its author, and for people to benefit from it, as it contains biographies of men who had a righteous impact on religion and prominent blessed personalities such as the sons of Jabir, Sheikh Saghirun, the owner of "Fawz Al-Malih" in the life of Shandi, the son of the righteous woman Fatima bint Jabir, Sheikh Idris Al-Arbab and his sons, Sheikh Al-Zein and Al-Saghirun, Arbab Al-Aqabid and his sons, Bri Bisri, the judge Dushrain, the judge of justice, Sheikh Hadd Umm Suraim, Sheikh Khu Jali, Al-Arkaiyun, Sheikh Muhammad Issa Suwar Al-Dhahab and his sons, the descendants of the people of the Quran and Tawhid, Baibar, Sheikh Muhammad Al-Haim, and Al-Abd Al-Sadiq and his sons, the men of admonition, the righteous of Al-Rukabi, Al-Jariyah, and so on. _________ And for preservation
