He was in his seclusion, and people benefited from him. He was among the ascetics. Sheikh Saghirun and Sheikh Abd al-Rahman ibn Hutu were among those who were in his charity. He met Sheikh al-Banufri (1) and he granted them the forbidden. Among them was his sister Fatima and her son Sidi Muhammad ibn Sarhan, nicknamed Saghirun, who was young and had not reached puberty. When the time for standing at Arafat came, he said, "O son of Fatima, do you think he has not reached puberty?" By his blessing, he reached puberty that night. And from his piety, he did not use what he found in the books of Al-Shafi'i, saying, "Their plows (3) are set up." Idris ibn Sheikh Abd al-Rahman ibn Jabir took over teaching after his uncle Sheikh Ismail. He was a learned sheikh, but the sweetness was spoiled in his time. The reason for this was that he married the Queen in K'ubi (4) and he used to walk with the Talqa. She forbade him from that and said to him, "Send your students to read, and let the teaching be in my house." The scholars refused this and said, "When ignorant girls enter and wander around, they will spoil our religion." They dispersed, some of them starting with Sheikh Abd al-Rahman ibn Hamdu and some with Sheikh Saghirun. Among them was Hamd ibn al-Aghish. So glory be to Him who does not sleep. The Queen (Abu Dalaq) studied under Sheikh Abd al-Rahman ibn Jabir, and he was one of the forty students who learned from Sheikh Abd al-Rahman ibn Jabir and reached the rank of Qutb. He is one of the seven who were brought by Sheikh Jabir ibn Jabir. His origin is Jali, and his residence is in Daqal al-Daffar (5). His descendants are known as Awlad Abu Dalaq. Idris ibn Muhsin, originally Jali, was born and resided in Al-Hujaybi al-Adad (6). He studied under Sheikh Abd al-Rahman ibn Mishih al-Nuri and read with him Sheikh Dafa Allah the Mukhtasar of Khalil. Thus, he explained it. He said, "This book (meaning the Mukhtasar) was written by a group, including الفقيه Idris ibn Muhsin." Sheikh Muhammad ibn al-Tariqi said that Sheikh Dafa Allah, after returning from Sheikh Saghirun, began teaching Khalil. The issue became difficult for him, so he would go to a فقيه in Al-Hujaybi, who explained it to him. The sons of Muhsin are a group whose piety (7) was such that it became clear to them that the soil of their land was mixed with the soil of others, so they abstained from all their cultivation. Idris ibn Muhammad al-Arbab ibn Ali. His discussion is in five chapters. (The First Chapter) is an introduction to him, stating that he is from the people of this matter and that he is the bearer or doer in his time. (The Second Chapter) is about his generosity, knowledge, asceticism, piety, forbearance, patience, and the correctness of his path. (The Third Chapter) is about his comprehensive words of the wisdom of the wise and the practice of the community without looking at a book. (The Fourth Chapter) is about his discourse on the celestial worlds and their states.
